Wyatt Buckland, Field Superintendent and Head Safety Officer

Wyatt grew up in the great city of Toronto, Ontario Canada and has been an avid hockey player since he was young. Wyatt played in a variety of NHL development leagues and eventually landed the Detroit Red Wings farm system. After retiring from hockey in 1999, Wyatt found himself at a career crossroads and gravitated toward the home building industry. Wyatt began his building career in 2003 with a privately owned company based out of Cincinnati, Ohio (NAME). He started out as a field assistant where he began to learn the homebuilding industry. In 2006 he went to work for one of the nation’s largest home builders; Pulte Homes, where he managed one of the state’s largest single family communities; Anthem, Colorado. Throughout his tenure with Pulte Homes, he proved to be an integral part of the company through his ability to inspire efficiency and a meticulous attention to detail among his team and consistently turn out exceptional homes. After a long and successful career in Colorado, Wyatt decided to make a lifestyle change and move his family to Jackson, Wyoming, where he aligned himself with New West Building back in April of 2016. He has been an essential part of the team since his arrival. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time in the great outdoors with his wife, son and chocolate lab Maddie.
